I learned to drive in 2019, in my early 40s. So in the grand scheme of things I’m not a super experienced driver for someone my age. And I’ve made some mistakes, oh boy. And I have to admit that the first few times I went on a motorway I didn’t actually know what the Highway Code says about what lanes to use. So I didn’t know that, in general, extenuating circumstances notwithstanding, you’re supposed to move back to the left hand lane unless you’re actively overtaking.

But I do now, and oh my fucking God there are so many people that just cruise along in the middle lane doing the speed limit at best, often lower, when the left hand lane is completely empty.

Get in the left hand fucking lane you idiots. Or at the very least drive at the fucking speed limit, what is wrong with you?
